Bob Probert
Bob Probert, a top enforcer in NHL hockey history, was deemed the "Heavyweight Champion" of hockey. Playing for the Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks, he registered an astonishing 283 fights -- winning most of them -- in 935 NHL games. No one ever questioned the right winger's fighting ability: if you wanted to be an enforcer in the NHL, you had to take on Probie. Far more than a lumbering brawler, Bob played on the same line as the legendary Steve Yzerman -- making him a better player. Taken in the third round of the 1983 NHL draft, Probie notched 62 points in the 1987-1988 season, earning a spot in the NHL All-Star Game. Though he is remembered for his fists, Bob also stood out for his balance, athleticism, and strength. Today, Probie is active in NHL alumni activities. He also has done some radio commentary for the Blackhawks. Most recently, he made a cameo appearance in The Love Guru, a Mike Myers movie. Ironically, Probie donned a number 28 sweater -- the same number as rival enforcer, Tie Domi.
