A member of the College Football Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Bob Lilly embodied the Texas football tradition, as a two- time All-Conference pick at Texas Christian University and an 11-time Pro-Bowler with the Dallas Cowboys, earning the nickname "Mr. Cowboy." The leader of the famed "Doomsday Defense," Bob helped the Cowboys win Super Bowl VI in 1972.

Teammates and opponents alike recount Bob's furious and forceful rushes -- making him virtually unstoppable. At 6'3, 260 pounds, Mr. Cowboy obliterated anyone who stood in his way, using his strength, size, and intelligence to thwart offenses. Bob's skill set revolutionized the defensive tackle position. For his efforts, the Cowboys awarded Bob the inaugural position in the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor. Following his retirement from football in 1974, the Throckmorton, Texas native gained popularity as a photographer.

In 1983, he co-authored Bob Lilly Reflections, a collection of photos from his NFL days. Bob recently completed his second book, A Cowboy's Life in August 2008 -- an autography about his journey from a small town in Texas to the Cowboys as one of the best defensive tackles in NFL history. His new book can be purchased at www.amazon.com/Cowboys-Life-Bob-Lilly/dp/1600781012.
