Customized Holiday Greetings start at $49.95

Drafted No.2 from the University of Oregon as an all-star halfback, Mel Renfro was originally slotted to play safety until the Cowboys moved him to cornerback in his fifth season. Mel, a track star in college, had a unique combination of speed and lateral movement. He made the Pro Bowl in his first ten seasons and was an All-NFL choice five times. He led  the Cowboys with seven interceptions his rookie year and made his mark on special teams when he led Dallas in special teams and punt yardage.

Mel was a consummate player on the great Cowboys teams of the 1970s -- playing in eight conference title games and four Super Bowls (winning two of them). His interception in the 1970 NFC title game set up the winning score, as Dallas defeated San Francisco 17-10. Mel was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 1996 -- with many memories and stories to tell, as well as meaningful life lessons to share, this NFL great looks forward to connecting with you on Vizzitt.
