At 6'9, 271 pounds, Ed "Too Tall" Jones personified the phrase "tower of power." The Cowboys defensive end dominated opponents and was a significant part of the "Doomsday Defense" in the 1970s. Though sacks were not an official stat until 1982, Ed is credited with 106 for his career. The three time Pro-Bowl nominee terrorized opposing quarterbacks with his size and quickness, quickly earning a reputation as one of the premier defensive players in the NFL. Too Tall played in 224 regular season games over 15 seasons. Ed played in three Super Bowls and helped the Cowboys win the NFL Championship in 1978.

Too Tall's accomplishments, however, were not limited to the gridiron. He left the Cowboys for a season to box and was undefeated. Starting as a talented basketball player, Too Tall didn't play football until he entered college. The Cowboys selected Too Tall number one overall after he led Tennessee State to an undefeated record. After retiring from football, Too Tall developed and managed his own financial company and has appeared on numerous television programs.
